📸 What You'll Do

  • Operate MRI units and related equipment to produce high-quality images.
  • Prepare and calibrate MRI equipment for daily operations.
  • Screen patients and visitors for safety before entering the MRI area.
  • Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures and obtain informed consent.
  • Position patients accurately to ensure optimal imaging results.
  • Maintain patient records and equipment operation logs.
  • Assist radiologists in developing new procedures and protocols.
  • Participate in educational programs and clinical instruction for MRI students.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve minor equipment issues.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and hospital policies.

Qualifications

  • Thorough knowledge of MRI technology and equipment operation.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiological Technology (ARRT).
  • MRI certification through the ARRT (new grads may obtain within 90 days of hire).
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective patient and team interactions.
  • Experience in Ultrasound, CT, Nuclear Medicine, and cross-sectional anatomy is preferred.
  • Ability to work in a healthcare environment with direct patient contact.
  • Adherence to safety procedures and use of protective equipment.
