📸 What You'll Do
- Transport patients requiring radiographic procedures and assist imaging technologists and radiologists.
- Prepare room, equipment, and supplies for diagnostic imaging procedures.
- Assist technologists and radiologists during procedures, ensuring high-quality imaging services.
- Demonstrate competency in inserting, monitoring, and removing IV catheters.
- Manage patients during procedures while observing radiation safety rules.
- Maintain quality assurance, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
- Assist with patient positioning and transport to and from Diagnostic Imaging.
- Maintain stock levels of supplies and perform daily inventory.
- Provide training and instruction to newly hired staff.
- Observe patient privacy policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalency required.
- Completion of a Tech Assistant training program or previous experience as a Tech Assistant or Tech Aide.
- Basic Life Support Certification required within the first six months of employment.
- Numerical and analytical skills to prepare contrast media.
- Manual dexterity to operate necessary equipment.
- Understanding of Radiation Safety and ALARA principles.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Demonstrated age-specific competencies and critical thinking skills.
