📸 What You'll Do

  • Transport patients requiring radiographic procedures and assist imaging technologists and radiologists.
  • Prepare room, equipment, and supplies for diagnostic imaging procedures.
  • Assist technologists and radiologists during procedures, ensuring high-quality imaging services.
  • Demonstrate competency in inserting, monitoring, and removing IV catheters.
  • Manage patients during procedures while observing radiation safety rules.
  • Maintain quality assurance, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
  • Assist with patient positioning and transport to and from Diagnostic Imaging.
  • Maintain stock levels of supplies and perform daily inventory.
  • Provide training and instruction to newly hired staff.
  • Observe patient privacy policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalency required.
  • Completion of a Tech Assistant training program or previous experience as a Tech Assistant or Tech Aide.
  • Basic Life Support Certification required within the first six months of employment.
  • Numerical and analytical skills to prepare contrast media.
  • Manual dexterity to operate necessary equipment.
  • Understanding of Radiation Safety and ALARA principles.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Demonstrated age-specific competencies and critical thinking skills.
