📸 What You'll Do
- Perform a variety of technical radiographic procedures under the direction of the Urgent Care Practice Manager.
- Apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis.
- Perform clerical duties as well as EKG and phlebotomy functions.
- Ensure patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with policies.
- Provide safety and comfort for all patients, explaining procedures to reduce apprehension.
- Schedule patients for radiologic examinations and ensure efficient patient flow.
- Perform radiographic exams with a sound understanding of equipment and technical factors.
- Transfer images to the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) for review.
- Maintain orderliness, cleanliness, and adequate supplies for assigned areas.
- Participate in the training and instruction of new Urgent Care Radiology Techs.
Qualifications
- Completion of formal training in an AMA-approved accredited school of radiologic technology or equivalent.
- Current license to work in the State of Rhode Island and ARRT certification required.
- Basic life support certification required.
- One-year experience as a Radiologic Technologist preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, visitors, and staff.
- Ability to work in a healthcare environment with direct patient contact.
- Physical ability to lift and position patients and supplies up to 50 pounds.
