📸 What You'll Do

  • Perform a variety of technical radiographic procedures under the direction of the Urgent Care Practice Manager.
  • Apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis.
  • Perform clerical duties as well as EKG and phlebotomy functions.
  • Ensure patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with policies.
  • Provide safety and comfort for all patients, explaining procedures to reduce apprehension.
  • Schedule patients for radiologic examinations and ensure efficient patient flow.
  • Perform radiographic exams with a sound understanding of equipment and technical factors.
  • Transfer images to the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) for review.
  • Maintain orderliness, cleanliness, and adequate supplies for assigned areas.
  • Participate in the training and instruction of new Urgent Care Radiology Techs.

Qualifications

  • Completion of formal training in an AMA-approved accredited school of radiologic technology or equivalent.
  • Current license to work in the State of Rhode Island and ARRT certification required.
  • Basic life support certification required.
  • One-year experience as a Radiologic Technologist preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Ability to work in a healthcare environment with direct patient contact.
  • Physical ability to lift and position patients and supplies up to 50 pounds.
