📸 What You'll Do
- Perform routine diagnostic radiology procedures including outpatient, emergency department, intraoperative, portable C-arm, inpatient, and fluoroscopic exams.
- Provide radiology services to patients of all ages, including neonates, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients.
- Maintain current CPR certification and comply with department policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Utilize lead shielding, protective devices, and radiation monitoring devices as appropriate.
- Participate in department and interdepartmental quality improvement activities.
- Perform arthrograms, myelograms, C-arm procedures, and x-rays in the OR.
- Prepare room and assist radiologists for fistulagrams and cystograms.
- Prepare contrast and barium materials for adults, children, and infants.
- Operate C-Arms and various portable x-ray units.
- Perform all office functions, including RIS/SMS order entries and scheduling.
Qualifications
- High school graduation or equivalent and satisfactory completion of formal radiologic technology training of two years duration.
- Ability to meet the requirements for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).
- Hold a valid State of Rhode Island Radiographer License.
- Current CPR certification.
- Must be able to stand/squat 1-3 hours and walk 3-7 hours, with frequent twisting and moderate bending, and lift over 50 lbs with good body mechanics.
- Requires accurate near and far vision at 20/40, accurate depth perception, and the ability to discriminate between red-green and blue-violet.
- Must hear whisper at eight feet.
