📸 What You'll Do

  • Perform interventional procedures including carotid and run-off arteriograms.
  • Conduct routine diagnostic radiology procedures as needed.
  • Set up room angio trays and equipment using aseptic techniques.
  • Prep patients for procedures, including shaving and draping.
  • Calculate and select appropriate technical factors for high-quality imaging.
  • Assist physicians with gowning, draping, scrubbing, and guidewire and catheter placement.
  • Operate and set parameters on power injectors.
  • Send images to PACS and the laser printer.
  • Assist with complex procedures such as abscess drainage and needle biopsies.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the assigned area.

Qualifications

  • High school graduation or equivalent.
  • Completion of formal radiologic technology training of two years duration.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) registered and licensed by the State of Rhode Island.
  • At least 3-6 months of experience as a Radiologic Technologist performing routine diagnostic radiology exams.
  • Current CPR certification.
