📸 What You'll Do
- Perform routine diagnostic radiology procedures, including outpatient, emergency department, intraoperative, portable C-arm, inpatient, and fluoroscopic exams.
- Provide radiology services to patients of all ages, from neonates to geriatrics.
- Ensure adherence to hospital's Mission, Vision, and Values.
- Complete mandatory education and comply with department policies and procedures.
- Maintain current CPR certification and participate in quality improvement activities.
- Provide a safe environment by using lead shielding, radiation monitoring devices, and practicing radiation safety.
- Perform specialized procedures such as arthrograms, myelograms, and C-arm procedures in the OR.
- Prepare contrast and barium materials for various age groups.
- Assist radiologists and OB/GYNs with technical procedures.
- Operate C-Arms and portable x-ray units, ensuring proper patient care and safety.
Qualifications
- High school graduation or equivalent and completion of formal radiologic technology training of two years.
- Eligibility for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).
- Valid State of Rhode Island Radiographer License.
- Current CPR certification.
- Physical ability to stand, squat, walk, and lift over 50 lbs with good body mechanics.
- Proficient in fine motor skills and able to perform frequent repetitions.
- Accurate near and far vision, depth perception, and color discrimination.
- Ability to hear whispers at eight feet.
