📸 What You'll Do

  • Perform routine diagnostic radiology procedures, including outpatient, emergency department, intraoperative, portable C-arm, inpatient, and fluoroscopic exams.
  • Provide radiology services to patients of all ages, from neonates to geriatrics.
  • Ensure adherence to hospital's Mission, Vision, and Values.
  • Complete mandatory education and comply with department policies and procedures.
  • Maintain current CPR certification and participate in quality improvement activities.
  • Provide a safe environment by using lead shielding, radiation monitoring devices, and practicing radiation safety.
  • Perform specialized procedures such as arthrograms, myelograms, and C-arm procedures in the OR.
  • Prepare contrast and barium materials for various age groups.
  • Assist radiologists and OB/GYNs with technical procedures.
  • Operate C-Arms and portable x-ray units, ensuring proper patient care and safety.

Qualifications

  • High school graduation or equivalent and completion of formal radiologic technology training of two years.
  • Eligibility for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).
  • Valid State of Rhode Island Radiographer License.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Physical ability to stand, squat, walk, and lift over 50 lbs with good body mechanics.
  • Proficient in fine motor skills and able to perform frequent repetitions.
  • Accurate near and far vision, depth perception, and color discrimination.
  • Ability to hear whispers at eight feet.
