📸 What You'll Do

• Perform CT Scan procedures in a satellite unit or a unit requiring more difficult techniques.
• Instruct Radiology students and/or employees in clinical procedures.
• Perform clerical and administrative functions for efficient unit operation and patient records.
• Utilize knowledge to perform duties of a CT Scan Technologist in routine and complex procedures.
• Provide clinical experience for Radiology Technology students, instructing and guiding them.
• Provide on-the-job instruction to employees and participate in formal in-service educational classes.
• Perform clerical tasks such as inventory and ordering of supplies, compiling statistics, and checking equipment.
• Understand and practice ALARA principles of Radiation Protection.
• Direct the work of others, providing input into performance appraisals and other personnel actions.
• Maintain CT Scan department workflow and staff efficiently for maximum throughput.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited program in Computed Tomography.
• Registered and in good standing with the American Registry of Radiological Technology (ARRT).
• Current CPR certification from AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers.
• RI state radiation license and CT supplemental license from the DOH.
• Ability to operate all types of x-ray CT Scan and related equipment.
• Interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and instruct students and employees.
• One year experience as a Radiologic Technologist plus one year specialized training in CT Scanner operation.
